\nKevin provides a flashback to my childhood with his post about the Mattel Football game<\/a>. (I can’t believe that came out in 1977… damn I’m getting old!) I, like Kevin, was shocked to see those old games and others in stores a few years ago. (And others like Simon<\/a>.) We had so much fun playing that simple little game, as well as Mattel’s Baseball game<\/a>. Funny how kids back then could have so much fun with such basic games, especially when compared to today’s video games. I wonder how well received these games are by kids now.<\/p>\n

As an aside, if any of you love the classic arcade games and don’t know about MAME<\/a> you must check it out! It allows you to play the original arcade versions of most old-school arcade games (just to refresh your memories: all the variations of Pac-Man, Galaga, Asteroids, Dig Dug, Mr. Do!, Centipede, Millipede, Defender, Galaxian, Gorf, Naughty Boy, Joust, Space Invaders, Zaxxon…).
