Both site owners claim to not know much about Brazilian music.  Well compared to them I know absolutely nothing, but I do have a few additions to Ariya&#8217;s list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmusic.com\/cg\/amg.dll?p=amg&amp;uid=UIDMISS70406151156531586&amp;sql=Bhe65mpbj9f1o\">Max De Castro<\/a> &#8211; I picked up his <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/ASIN\/B00006LA0R\/tradermike-20\"><i>Orchestra Klaxon<\/i> CD<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.trama.com.br\/portalv2\/album\/index.jsp?id=1236\">listen<\/a>) on my last trip to Brasil.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trama.com.br\/maxdecastro\/\" title=\"Max De Castro's Web Site\">Max<\/a> is one very talented dude who blends many different genres into his music.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmusic.com\/cg\/amg.dll?p=amg&amp;uid=UIDMISS70406151156531586&amp;sql=Bptom96hogepc\">Cl&aacute;udio Zoli<\/a> &#8211; I snagged his  <i>Na Pista<\/i> CD (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.trama.com.br\/portalv2\/album\/index.jsp?id=1145\">listen<\/a>) at the same time as Max&#8217;s. I could have sworn that was George Benson on the first track of that CD.  Peep it!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmusic.com\/cg\/amg.dll?p=amg&amp;uid=UIDMISS70406151156531586&amp;sql=B2g17gjer26iw\">Racionais Mc&#8217;s<\/a> &#8211; This group is like the Public Enemy of Brasil.   These cats are hard core, can flow, and have some ill beats.  They even used the beat from &#8216;Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos&#8217; on their song, &#8216;Rapaz Comum&#8217;.  Here are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allbrazilianmusic.com\/en\/Artists\/Artists.asp?Status=ARTISTA&amp;Nu_Artista=490\" title=\"Racionais MC's articles\">some English articles about them as well as song samples<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmusic.com\/cg\/amg.dll?p=amg&amp;uid=UIDMISS70406151156531586&amp;sql=B3au67ui080jd\"> Il&eacute; Ax&egrave;<\/a> (or &#8216;Ile Aiye&#8217;)- A percussion group sort of along the lines of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmusic.com\/cg\/amg.dll?p=amg&amp;uid=UIDMISS70406151156531586&amp;sql=Bdkuvad8kv8wo\">Olodum<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allmusic.com\/cg\/amg.dll?p=amg&amp;uid=UIDMISS70406151156531586&amp;sql=Bayknikxhbbo9\">Timbalada<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hmm, I think I feel another Radio.Blog post coming on&#8230;<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<div>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/rcm-images.amazon.com\/images\/G\/01\/rcm\/468x240.gif?resize=468%2C240\" width=\"468\" height=\"240\" border=\"0\" alt=\"Shop at Amazon.com\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ariya has put together a nice Brazilian music guide and she also refers people to Slip Cue Magazine for even more Brazilian music info.
