A thunderstorm just popped up and something in my neighborhood must have been hit by a bolt. That was the loudest clap of thunder I’ve ever heard. And the flash damn near blinded me. At least my grass is getting a good soaking though.
Update: So now, 15 minutes later, after the sky has cleared and the streets are drying quickly, the national weather service issues a severe thunderstorm warning. Thanks for the warning.
Here at the office, I’m sitting next to the window and watching the lightning. This is one serious storm and the thunder has a loud rolling sound that last about 4 sec. Believe it or not, we have some idiots running out to their cars during this.

We got a bit of rare lightning and thunder on the left coast recently and it scared me right out of of my seat…LOL!!!
that is rare. I can’t remember a thunderstorm in my 15+ years of living in Cali.
